Kobe is a legend!!! The Mamba Mentality inspired a generation. I'll admit growing up, I wasn't the biggest fan - but that's what he did - got buckets against your favourite team. He was just getting started on another chapter in his life and it's tragic the way it ended just like that. We are all mortal so cherish your time here, and work to become the best version of yourself. RIP Kobe - your legacy lives on.

That game was amazing to watch! I still remember watching the game with my friends. We usually got together to watch some games from time to time, but we all had no idea what we were in store for that day. My perspective of Kobe changed after that. Sure, some might say he took too many shots and didn't pass to his team as much, but with a team like they had that year, its understandable. End of the day, it is about winning and his drive to win and destroy whoever he faced is something that will... read more

When I first heard the news about the helicopter crash and Kobe's death it didn't really register in my mind that Kobe was actually gone. Although I am a Raptors fan I knew Kobe was well known and a legend in the NBA community. I also knew that he had amazing qualities and overall was an amazing motivational speaker.

I don't have much to say about Kobe as I don't follow him that much but it was really tragic to hear what had happened. I knew he had a family of 4 girls that he cherished so... read more

Kobe Bryant was one of my all time favorite athletes/entertainers. What i learned from him was that hard work and discipline is key to success. My favorite on court moment with Kobe was when he bet 500 grand with Gerald Wallace in game on a free throw, which he obviously hit. Kobe was such a beast that he also won an Oscar for his short film. Even though Kobe is not with us anymore, his spirit will live on forever. My heart aches when i think about you not being here but seeing you play and... read more

Growing up in the 90s, one of my favorite things to do was to watch basketball. I had a handful of favorite players but I admit one of them was not Kobe Bryant. Not because I hated him as a person/player but that he would literally beat every team I liked.

Throughout the years I continued to follow his career but I appreciated and admired his work ethic and drive to win. Even though he would continuously beat teams I would go for, I couldn't help but be in awe of what he did. Especially to... read more

Kobe represented what I wanted my work ethic to be. He started training at 4:30am everyday and got drafted straight out of highschool. The youngest most shiny NBA player always had something to prove and you'd argue that somewhere along the way he grew up and showed everyone what he was made of.

Kobe died with his daughter. A helicopter crash was probably not a pretty death, not a respectful, peaceful death.

When I heard about the crash, my first question was: Are you kidding? then:... read more

Growing up, I loved watching the Lakers. The three-peat from 2000-2002 was amazing. I still remember seeing the Lakers play the Vancouver Grizzlies live in 2001. Admittedly, I cheered for the Lakers, rather than my hometown Grizzles. I still look back on the pictures that I took of Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Mike Bibby, Rick Fox and Brian Shaw coming out of the locker room, tucked in my photo album. As the game ended, I remember high-fiving Shaq, whose hands were gigantic compared to my tiny child... read more
