Not too many people know this, but Kobe had a presence at my school. His team used our gym for practices and they would frequently be on campus. On the day of registration my freshman year, Kobe was in the gym and I went and watch him practice with the girls.. later on in the year my coach asked me to help him out.. little did I know it was to watch the gym so Kobe and his girls could practice.
