When I heard the story of Kobe passing away, I was in disbelief - Lebron had just passed Kobe in all time scoring and it seemed as though Kobe's legacy was more relevant than ever. It felt as though his presence was reborn and reintegrated back into the NBA from social media to news-coverage. I was deeply saddened, even though I was never a Kobe fan and I had never watched him play live.
I wanted to pay homage to Kobe through what I did best: film making. I loved editing and producing videos, so I knew this was how I would pay my tribute to Kobe. I spent longs hours late at up (up to 4 AM) producing this video, making sure that every edit was precise and purposeful because Kobe deserved nothing but the best. His work ethic was unparalleled, so I had to match it whilst making this tribute video. After digging through hundreds of clips and late night editing, I wish to share Kobe's story through what I saw - a loving and caring father, friend, and player who kept fighting, no matter how difficult the obstacles were.
I present to you: Farewell
RIP Kobe.
